Dynamic Island

A live to-do strip on the Oracle HCM homepage: each employee and manager sees what needs them now, and reaches the right Oracle page in one click.

Before / after

From hunting for tasks to one click.

Without the island, users go looking for what needs them. With it, their tasks come to them.

Without the island

Tasks scattered across Oracle HCM

  1. 1 A reminder email arrives, among dozens of others.
  2. 2 Open Oracle HCM and find the right menu.
  3. 3 My Team › Performance › Performance Documents.
  4. 4 Search for the employee, then for the right document.
  5. 5 Start again for goals, timecards, approvals…

5+ steps for each task, in each module

With the Dynamic Island

What needs you, on the homepage

  1. Open Oracle HCM: your open items are on the homepage, by due date.
  2. Click one: Oracle's own page opens, already filtered.
  3. Do the task where it has always been done.

What it does

What you get.

What needs you, at a glance

Reviews, goals, approvals, timecards, training, onboarding: the open items of each user, gathered on the homepage instead of scattered across modules and emails.

One click to the right page

Every figure and every item opens the standard Oracle page that handles it, already filtered. No new screens to learn, no menus to search.

Built around each role

Employees see their own to-dos, managers their team's progress, new joiners their first month. Content, layout and colours follow your priorities and your brand.

One island, many uses

The demo above shows four ways to use it. Most clients start with one priority, then add modules as the island proves itself.

  • Action center: an employee’s to-dos across modules, ordered by due date.
  • Performance: a manager follows the review campaign and the team’s goals, step by step.
  • Manager cockpit: one headline action per module (reviews, goals, hiring, time) for managers with large teams.
  • Onboarding: a new joiner’s first month, from documents to upload to meeting their buddy.

With Oracle HCM

How it fits in.

  • Sits on the standard Oracle HCM homepage, above the usual tabs and tiles.
  • Figures come from Oracle HCM itself, so they always match what users find on the page.
  • Links open Oracle's own pages: approvals, goals, performance documents, time cards, journeys.
  • Respects Oracle security: each user only sees what their roles allow.
